Our Internship Program provides you with the opportunity to truly learn our business with first-hand experience. You will apply your knowledge and skills as you participate in business-impacting work over the course of the summer.

Program Components

We’re committed to making this experience as positive as possible. Your leader and other team members/mentors will be available to provide guidance and support throughout the summer. In addition to the vital projects that you will be assigned to, you will have opportunities to learn about other areas and departments. Your successful internship will include the following program components:

Goal-Setting

You will create an Individual Development Plan and set clear goals at the start of your experience, capture your activities, and track your results. Your objectives will include goals for your personal development and goals for key success indicators of your department.

Leader Meetings

These opportunities to check in will be designed to discuss your ongoing success as well as any challenges or needs as you proceed through the summer. Your leader will calendar periodic one-on-ones with you.

Results Tracking

You and your leader will monitor and track the results attributed to your contributions. Those results will be compiled and reported to executive leadership.

Performance Review

As you wrap up your internship, your leader will also schedule and complete a final performance review.

Intern Portal

U.S. Cellular has designed an interactive portal to enhance the overall internship experience. You will be encouraged to visit the portal each day to check for program updates, engage with your fellow interns and leaders, and post pictures from your experience.
