Your Health and Well-Being

Many of our benefits are available Day One.

We offer two Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBS) PPO plans; one which includes a high deductible plan combined with a Health Savings Account (HSA). We also offer an HMO plan in Wisconsin. All plans provide 100% coverage for preventive care.

We have a plan from Delta Dental with 100% coverage for preventive care (e.g., routine exams and X-rays).

Our vision plan features in- and out-of-network plans by VSP. In addition to yearly vision exams and coverage for contacts and glasses, our plan also provides a discount for laser vision correction.

Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment
Basic Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment plans equal to one times annual salary with a minimum of $30,000. Additional coverage can be purchased for yourself up to 10 times your annualized salary and you may also purchase life insurance coverage for your spouse/domestic partner and dependent children.

Short- and Long-Term Disability
In addition to sick days, full-time associates are eligible for Short-Term (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage at no cost.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Associates can set aside pre-tax dollars for qualifying Health Care (HC) FSA expenses and/or Dependent Care (child/elder care) FSA expenses. Our plan also offers a HCFSA Debit Card.

401(k) Plan
Before-tax 401(k) and Roth 401(k) after-tax options with 100% matching up to the first 3%, and 40% matching for the next 2% contribution each pay period.

Pension Plan– 100% Employer Funded
Watch your balance grow over time! In general, the Plan provides 3% of compensation for most associates.

Flexible Work Arrangements
We support the use of various work schedules which are designed to allow for flexibility to associates while still meeting the needs of the business.

Paid Time Off
Full-time associates are eligible to receive excellent time off benefits, including five personal days, 10 vacation days during the first three years of service (15 vacation days after three years and 20 days after 10 years), six holidays and up to six sick days per year.

Education Assistance Program
We provide support for coursework at accredited colleges and education institutions with eligible degree programs. Eligible full-time associates are reimbursed at 100% for covered tuition costs up to the annual maximum; eligible part-time associates are reimbursed at 60% for covered tuition costs up to the annual maximum.

Associate PC Purchase Program
Employees receive a discount when purchasing a PC and related equipment through U.S. Cellular’s associate PC Purchase Program.

Associate Adoption Assistance
We provide financial assistance by reimbursing eligible associates for up to $5,000 for qualified adoption-related expenses.

Associate Support Fund
The Associate Support Fund is a company-and associate-funded program that provides emergency relief for associates facing a financial hardship as a result of a qualifying disaster or personal hardship.
