The HRBP leads and manages the people management related agenda at the internal client.  The HRBP enables the successful execution of HR solutions across the business. The HRBP is responsible for the development and execution of a holistic HR strategy, which includes talent acquisition and retention, talent management and talent development components. These strategies are focused on driving associate engagement, organizational change, and increasing business performance. The HRBP focuses on deeply understanding the priorities of their business clients, identifying systemic or targeted issues impeding success and translating findings into human capital solutions that deliver desired results.
  • Coordinate and drive functional assessments to identify human capital performance accelerators and detractors
  • Creates and executes human capital strategies that close performance gaps and create a competitive advantage with associates and leaders
  • Manages complex and difficult HR Projects / Enterprise initiatives cross-functionally
  • Define approaches to measure the effectiveness of human capital strategies in partnership with other HR functions within the HR division
  • Develop and implement talent management plans, initiatives and solutions that support growth and drive business results
  • Consults and influences business clients at the Senior Director/Director level to create an environment that enables high-performing teams
  • Provides change leadership expertise and advises clients on change strategies that accelerate human change and adoption
  • Provides organizational design support and consultation to achieve business results
  • Coordinates with the necessary business and HR functions to design and execute on organizational design decisions
  • Acts as cultural ambassador and promotes cultural changes needed to accelerate business growth and drive increased associate engagement and leadership excellence
  • Collaborates across the various functions to maintain a pulse on the business and cultural environment
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for local employee relations issues, investigations, and resolutions.
  • Identifies trends in the area of employee relations issues, and develops solutions to address gaps,  minimize risk, and increase overall performance
  • Manages internal employee relations investigation processes and outcomes; collaborates and aligns business decisions with external legal counsel 
  • Manages and leads a team; may have direct report responsibility (HR Generalist and / or HR Coordinator)
  • Support annual and ad-hoc HR initiatives, serving as a local point-of-contact and subject-matter expert
Knowledge/Skills
  • Strong business and financial acuity
  • Proven consulting, influencer and coaching skills (as business leader with HR expertise)
  • Consultative approach to problem solving and delivering HR solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Strong change leader with ability to drive fast-paced, positive change; project and change management skills
  • Knowledge of employee relations practices
  • Understanding of HR laws and requirements
Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 8-10 years of progressive HR-related experience or equivalent business experience
  • 3-5 years of successfully influencing at Director level without direct authority 
  • Experience leading change initiatives
  • Analysis of HR metrics and developing recommendations for action
  • Demonstrated success in the creation and execution of business and/or people strategies
