Pricing & Promotions Design Manager I

Coordinate, lead, and support strategic promotional offer design & development to deliver upon annual objectives over 1M customer activations. Through an integrated marketing perspective, this role will formulate, size, drive alignment around, and manage results for highly visible pricing & promotional offers focused on our customer acquisition strategies for all channels to achieve customer acquisition, revenue growth, and profitability goals.

 

This position is viewed as a key integrator of grow strategy, marketing, and financial objectives to serve all sales channels, products & services, and customer segments. This position will require regular interactions with SMEs and Leaders cross functionally as a part of standard Pricing & Promotional processes, and with Senior Leaders to providing insights and consideration on promotional strategy and tactics recommendations necessary to drive superior business results.

 

 

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

 

  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills
  • Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative consumer insights into clear and compelling offers
  • Strong business acumen with outstanding organizational and marketing skills.
  • Demonstrated solutions based orientation leading to development of effective action plans.
  • Excellent communication skills including presentation abilities and the ability to synthesize complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner for a variety of audiences.
  • Ensures all pricing & promotional offers, tactics, and messaging are consistent and integrated with overall marketing and channel strategies; develop offer analysis and sensitivity models to derive the implications on acquisition strategy, marketing activities and operational processes
  • Develop, manage, and monitory results of promotional offer strategies, inclusive of all channels, products & services, and customer segments and aligned with Marketing and Organizational goals.
  • Leverages competitive intelligence and consumer preference insights to develop concepts and offers for competitive advantage.
  • Forms hypotheses and synthesizes fact-based conclusions into recommendations including preparing and delivering comprehensive business cases to executive management.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and significant influence management skills to gain credibility with and drive decision-making from senior leadership and stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Streamlines processes where possible such as creating standard reporting tools and processes.
  • Partners with marketing, sales, and operational teams to define the roadmap and requirements for pricing and promotional elements and functionality to be supported by company systems and processes.
  • Content SME in the creation and enhancement of marketing materials and collateral to support promotional execution to educate and inform customers.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) in coordinating promotional input to the Brand team.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and supports widespread communication on pricing & promotional performance relative to goals and key metrics.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-8 years’ experience, with 3 years specific promotions experience, financial/statistical modeling and forecasting, business case development; wireless industry experience is highly preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s in Marketing or business is required. MBA or graduate level degree in a related field is optional.
  • Strong creative, analytical, and project planning skills are required.
  • Solid negotiation and meeting facilitation skills; significant experience working with and leading diverse teams of individuals at varying levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership where team members are not direct reports.
  • Ability to be an influencer who can set and/or implement strategy and a course of action.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc)
  • Previous advertising agency experience is a plus.
