Executive Communications Specialist (HR)

Influence the evolution of the company’s culture by shaping and executing executive-level internal communications and drafting learning/training content, along with strategies and tactics that position the company’s long-term business strategy and its plan to win.  Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) along with strong consultancy skills are hallmarks of this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively consults and guides business partners on communications strategy through deep strategic thinking and analysis, information gathering and research, and personal judgment and discretion.  Works on highly confidential and sensitive projects; consults with all levels of leadership and must build effective partnerships with executives, including the CEO
  • Develops content for training materials

Accountabilities:

  • Drives consultative interactions with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization.  Imparts strategic recommendations and influences key decision-making as it relates to long and short term communication strategy 
  • Consults with project teams to advise on communications strategy and to help business partners to integrate project messages and broader business communications
  • Participates in the creation and execution of internal communications strategies through maintaining internal relationships that help capture the company’s current “pulse” and cultural state
  • Shapes the language used and understood throughout the organization through the implementation of key phrasing and speech patterns when writing executive communications
  • Helps build and execute change communications strategies to further organizational development and growth
  • Travel up to 25% may be required.  Ability to travel and work non-traditional work schedules as needed

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism (or related field) required; Master’s degree preferred in communications, design or MBA preferred
  • 5-7 years experience in organizational communications
  • Consultative approach to business, including ability to problem solve
  • Expert in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Be tech-savvy, ability to learn new software quickly
  • Expert proofreader in standard American English
